Jason was a Senior Principal Scientist with a PhD in Chemistry.
Jason was 37 years old, newly separated, and excited to hit the world hard since he decided that he didn’t want to grow old with a woman that didn’t make perfect sense for him to grow old with.
He was analytical, driven, smart, successful, no real baggage and he made purposeful decisions quickly. I liked him.

On Date #4 while driving to a weekend overnight in the mountains (90 minutes from home) he blurted out that he had something to tell me.
He had a 9 year old. Oh, and he wasn’t 37… he was like 45 (or something, I don’t care to remember or fact check his real age).
Jason was 45 years old, still living in the family house, and excited to hit the world hard. He was just “afraid” that I wouldn’t give him a shot if he came clean about his age or situation.
Long story short: I stupidly gave him a shot even after that. We ended less than a week later with him flipping me off in front of co-workers because I didn’t pay enough attention to him at a company outing. #BoyBye
