How To Weed out the Crazies on Dating Sites
When it comes to dating, men are constantly painted as the villain. It seems like every single time something goes wrong, it’s forever the guys fault, regardless of what actually happened. You meet a girl online, she seems cool. You meet her for a drink, you realize she’s absolutely tapped. Somehow, you’re the bad guy for not asking her out again and you know that come Sunday Funday with her girlfriends, you are about to be the topic of conversation. Sound familiar? Or how about the girl you chat with on Tinder whose drop dead gorgeous, can keep up with your sarcasm, but refuses to meet you for a drink because, wait for it, she’s in a committed relationship, and when you call her out she can’t seem to figure out why “you’re such a jerk”. Sigh.
What if I told you there was a way to avoid all the crazies, saving you time and money (because let’s be honest, the three cosmos she ordered were not at all worth it and that money could have absolutely been spent on wings and dollar drafts with the guys). Online dating can be incredibly deceiving, especially when all you really have to work with is a picture and some quick “facts” about this girl, both of which could be totally fake. Do yourself a favor before you meet this 5’8” self proclaimed Instagram model, and make sure she is who she says she is. Aste is a new service offering social checks, because you deserve to know what you are walking into when meeting this girl for a drink. Does her Pinterest consist solely of “dream wedding” boards? Is her Facebook chalk full of selfies of her and her boyfriend, or worse, her and her fifteen cats? Have you checked to make sure she doesn’t have any stalking arrests or restraining orders? These are the kinds of questions that you deserve to know the answer to, before finding out the hard way. Time is money, don’t waste it on a crazy!
